For the qualified massage therapist looking to enhance their skills. This one-day practical workshop will be taken by Elise Johnson, a qualified Shiatsu therapist and Acupuncturist with many years of clinical experience. Elise trained in Shiatsu at the Ohashi Institute in New York and Swedish Massage at the Swedish Institute. She moved to London in 1985 to train in acupuncture and completed her training in China where she also learned Qi Gong. Elise helped found the Shiatsu College, London in 1986 and has been teaching and practising ever since. This hands-on day which will cover advanced techniques for the head and back. Using her knowledge of shiatsu techniques Elise will teach the important points to incorporate into your massage routine. Demonstrations along with practical sessions will enable therapists to experience the new techniques being taught whilst working on each other.

Thermal Auricular Therapy - £195
This 2 day course in Ear Candling leads to a recognised qualification for this increasingly popular holistic treatment, ideally suited as a post graduate course for qualified therapists. Training will cover the history and explanation of the treatment, correct application and use of the candles, and benefits to the customer. Identification of contra-indication and the relevant anatomy and physiology are also included and supported by relevant Health and Safety precautions.

Between the two dates, students are expected to complete case studies and a set of assignments.
Fast becoming a very popular new body treatment, this course is suitable for qualified massage therapists only or those currently studying on a Body Massage course. An ideal treatment to enable you to expand your list of services. Tuition will consist of both theoretical and practical instruction and will cover safe working practice, application of warm and cool stones and how to incorporate the use of stones into your massage treatments. Practical work will enable students to give and receive a treatment, all equipment will be supplied.
