VTCT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Beauty Therapy

A Level 3 qualification is now seen as a requirement for those therapists wanting to work in a Spa/Health Club environment, as well as allowing for further career advancement within the beauty salon area.

This course equips the therapist with a sound practical and theoretical knowledge of the most popular Level 3 treatments:

A full body massage treatment is covered using Swedish massage techniques. The main objective is to specify the use of body massage primarily for relaxation and lymphatic drainage purposes.

The theory of the main systems of the body is taught alongside the Massage module in order that all Level 3 treatments can be carried out in a safe and effective manner.

This module covers the practical and theoretical use of the following equipment:
High Frequency, Galvanic, Micro Current, Vacuum Suction, Audio Sonic and Gyratory massage (body).

A basic understanding of Diet is covered to enable the therapist to give general advice on dietary control.

This module ensures that the therapist has an understanding to provide individual exercise for beauty therapy purposes primarily in connection with amending body contours and slimming.

The main purpose of this module is to acquire the knowledge from conducting an oral and physical assessment of the client to assist in the development of the treatment plan.

The practical application of a body wrapping treatment and body mask application is covered.

The safe use of heat lamps is taught for use within all areas of Beauty Therapy.

Course Duration: 1 day a week September – June 9.30am – 4.30pm (allowing the therapist the opportunity of working with her Level 2 skills throughout her training). Or 2 days a week, Tues/Wed, January – July, 9am – 3pm.
