* Cosmetic Skin Tanning Along with the practical work the course will also cover the following subjects in relation to the topic being studied:
* Anatomy & Physiology
* Client Care *Professional Ethics
* Employment standards
* Health, Safety & Security.
Practical training in manicure and pedicure procedures are taught along with tuition in the disorders of the nail, hand and foot. Massage techniques to cover the hand and arm, leg and foot are also covered along with French manicure procedures.
Wax Depiliation
Training is given in the warm wax system of hair removal on face, eyebrows, underarm, bikini line and legs. Additionally the student will be introduced to hot wax and the Clean and Easy and PHD systems of hair removal.
Cosmetic Make up
This module includes tuition in day, evening and corrective make up techniques. Students will have the opportunity to work with Jane Iredale Mineral Make up.
Facial Treatments
This module covers the knowledge required to perform a professional facial treatment. Tuition will cover skin diagnosis, cleansing treatments, facial massage and mask applications. All training is carried out using the popular and respected Dermalogica skin care range.
Eye Treatments
Tuition during this module covers eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting, eyebrow shaping and eyelash perming.
Cosmetic Skin Tanning
The practical application of a full body exfoliating treatment followed by a cream tanning application is covered using Fake Bake products.
Course Duration: 2 days a week for 15 weeks, 9.30am – 4.30pm (3 intakes a year – September, April, January).
Evening course option: 1 – 2 evenings a week, September – June, 6.30 – 9.30.

VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Specialist Techniques
VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Health Safety, Security and Employment Standards.
